The Base Station of the Langkawi Cable Car is in Oriental Village, at the foot of the Machinchang range on Langkawi's west coast. It is about 20 minutes' drive from Langkawi International Airport and about 40 minutes from Kuah, the island's main town.

The ride to the Top Station takes 15 minutes, with a stop at the Middle Station.
Getting there without a car
Langkawi has almost no public transport, so most visitors come by Grab, taxi, or a rented car or scooter. Grab is usually cheaper than a taxi and shows the fare before you book. From Kuah the drive takes about 40 minutes. Parking at Oriental Village is free.
Outside the main towns a Grab can take a while to arrive, so allow extra time for the ride back.

On some Wednesdays the cable car opens at 12:00 after weekly maintenance, and it can close in bad weather. SkyBridge closes whenever the cable car does.
